August is starting out with a dynamic full moon on the 3rd! This month is a heart-centered month; it holds a lot of power if we come from our commitment to a better life and push on to the completion of our goals.
A great warrior who dedicated his life to that better life, John Lewis, just died. He wrote his own eulogy and through it, he encourages us to continue the work for a more just world.
John Lewis encouraged us to “Get in the way” of the evil in the world– to block it with our hearts, minds, and bodies. His instructions to us, “Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America,” bear memorizing, repeating, and obeying.
So, I repeat, if you’ve signed petitions or shared on social media– great! The change we need will take more than that, though. Are you willing to make phone calls, knock on doors, make signs, show up and be counted, VOTE? Because that’s what it’s going to take. The Universe is willing to help us. Are we willing to join with it and help ourselves?
Yes, we’re still dealing with powerful forces outside of our control, but the tide is turning and we must use it to our advantage. We must choose to be what we were created to be– warriors who think, act, care for, and promote what’s most beneficial for ourselves, life, and our world. Another John Lewis quote, “I believe in freedom of speech, but I also believe that we have an obligation to condemn speech that is racist, bigoted, anti-Semitic, or hateful. When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up. You have to say something; you have to do something.”

EMPRESS (April 21 – May 20) After a lot of planning and intense work, things are finally taking shape, so please take a time out to congratulate yourself on a job well done. Your goal is just within reach– continue to let your intuition guide your actions and you’ll have something satisfying to celebrate.
THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20) You’ve heard the old poker expression, “Play your cards close to your vest”, haven’t you? It means, keep your own council because now is not the time for sharing your truth or asking for advice. Remember that your intuition and your intellect are the partners you need to make the decisions you’re faced with at this time. All of this secrecy and trust in your intuition will help you win the game.
THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20) Assess your current situation with compassionate self-honesty. Though it’s not always comfortable, the truth you encounter and consciously acknowledge will be the foundation for the next phase of your life. You’re creating the path to a great deal of personal satisfaction and material success and a new person will assist you in achieving your goals.
THE SUN (July 21 – August 22) The efforts of the last few months are beginning to show fruit. Your momentum is strong, so take advantage of it as you keep your focus on how far you’ve come and what you’ve achieved. The next few months are important to your progress. Please remember to follow your intuition and pay attention to the signs that call attention to themselves.
THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22) Know what the biggest ally to success is? Self-confidence! It’s so important and it’s the key to getting what you want. You’re at last getting that your desire and ability to express yourself are healthy and natural. Whether your interests are in actually dancing or other adventurous or creative pursuits, please go for it with everything you are! Unexpected help will show up for you and help you on your journey.
THE MAGICIAN (October 23 – November 21) Approach the beginning of this important new cycle in your life with gratitude as well as a renewed commitment to win your prize. You’ll profit from the insights you gain about your mission in life and the people and circumstances assisting you. “Keep on keepin’ on” and you’ll notice that your ideas are worth a lot now and with proper planning and the appropriate actions of focus, faith, and follow-through, the bounty will roll in!
THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE (November 22 – December 21) The difference between willingness and willfulness? This won’t always be easy, but please don’t allow yourself to disregard your powerful grasp of the situations around you. The information is a gift from a Higher Source and is accompanied by an influential “helping hand” that will assist you in turning your hopes into reality.
THE STAR (January 20 – February 19) That restlessness you’re feeling comes from experiencing a form of boredom that signals that you’ve outgrown your old way of being. You, your perspective, and your needs have shifted. Step back from your day-to-day thought processes and let your mind free associate for a while– another name for this exercise is daydreaming. The relaxing benefits of this time-out are infinite. As you do so, you’ll become aware of a more effortless way to achieve what you want.
