It’s December and in only a few short weeks, we’ll all witness and participate in the end of this year and the beginning of a new year– 2019.
Endings and beginnings, opportunities and challenges always trigger periods of profound reflection and soul searching. Did the year work out the way you’d hoped or planned? Did you grow and progress in all the ways you’d foreseen on January 1st of this year? Did you take the actions necessary to bring your hopes, wishes, and dreams to fruition?
2017– a “1” Universal year, called for constructive action and establishing our new 9-year life trajectory. This year, 2018, called for commitment and the results of that are beginning to show. 2019 will call for us to continue on our paths and follow through with our commitments by communicating and enrolling others in this great adventure we’re on.
We must all remember that each of us is capable of doing potentially mysterious, empowering deeds and of displaying courage, integrity and heart so vital and vibrant to the continuation of all that we hold dear.
Take a look back at yourself and your 2018 journey. How will you take what you’ve experienced and learned and use it to help make the coming year, 2019, the best year ever for yourself, your community and your world?
Your message this month is in the form of a quote or affirmation. It’s a key that will help you translate your experience of this year to reflect on your perspective of yourself, your goals, your commitment and your willingness to ‘show up’ and actively choose and stand for what you believe in.
For all of us:
“I love you, my sister and brother, whoever you are– whether you worship in your church, kneel in your temple or pray in your mosque. You and I are all children of one faith, for the diverse paths of religion are fingers of the loving hand of one Supreme Being, a hand extended to all, offering completeness of spirit to all, eager to receive all.” Khalil Gibran
and
“There are people put on this earth who make laws designed to break the spirits of others. There are those put here who have their spirits broken by the people who make those laws. Then there are those who are here to take the actions and make the laws that break the people who break the spirits of others. I am one of those people.” Steve Toltz
and by Patricia C. Wrede:
“Well,” said the frog, “what are you going to do about it?” “I don’t know. I’ve tried talking to my parents, but they won’t listen, and neither will Therandil.” “I didn’t ask what you’d said about it,” the frog snapped. “I asked what you’re going to do.”
