“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.” This 18th century quote by Edmund Burke is as true today as it was then. This month is a game changer. What are you willing to commit to?
If you’ve signed petitions or shared on social media– great! The change we need will take more than that, though. Are you willing to make phone calls, knock on doors, make signs, show up and be counted, VOTE? Because that’s what it’s going to take. The Universe is willing to help us. Are we willing to join with it and help ourselves?
Yes, we’re still dealing with powerful forces outside of our control, but the tide is turning and we must use it to our advantage. We must choose to be what we were created to be– warriors who think, act, care for, and promote what’s most beneficial for ourselves, life, and our world. Another Edmund Burke quote: “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.”
For all of us:
“Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.” Edmund Burke
“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save ourselves and our world.” Abraham Lincoln December 1, 1862 in Message to Congress
“I love you, my sister and brother, whoever you are– whether you worship in your church, kneel in your temple or pray in your mosque. You and I are all children of one faith, for the diverse paths of religion are fingers of the loving hand of one Supreme Being, a hand extended to all, offering completeness of spirit to all, eager to receive all.” Khalil Gibran
THE EMPEROR (March 21 – April 20) This is a very interesting and important time for you. Your personal mission now is to surrender to the process of transformation. As strange as it may seem, there is great stability in transformation. Consciously choose to add your energy to the process and consciously grow into the new phase of your life.
EMPRESS (April 21 – May 20) Your ruling planet, Venus, will be retrograde until June 25th. This is a great time for you to examine your personal and societal values. For the next four months, whatever plans, dreams, and schemes you’ve got have a special added depth. Open yourself up to more than just making do and be willing to step outside of the “box” and Go for it!
THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20) Life is full of surprises. You’re transforming in ways that will amaze you. With the Moon’s North Node in your sign, don’t be afraid to step up to the plate. Life is throwing you a lot of fast balls—just keep your eyes open and swing at them with all you’ve got. You’re building vital new muscles of confidence and new strengths of will with each swing!
THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20) The ability to see and experience life differently is one of the greatest gifts of all. As you connect with your conscious awareness and it continues to grow, you’ll greatly enhance the qualities of your life. The Universe is encouraging you to use your natural gifts of ingenuity, insight, and intuition with a sense of grace, wonder, and joy.
THE SUN (July 21 – August 22) What are you passionate about? Only you can answer that question. What are you willing to do to make it happen? Only you can make that commitment. Your mantra comes in the form of this paraphrased old aphorism—“Where there’s a will, there’s a way!”
THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22) If you’re feeling frustrated or worried about the way events are unfolding now, try to take the current pace in stride and not “act out”. Everything is really open to you and consistency is your best ally. You don’t have to try to “push the river”—you can redirect it with your intention and your willingness to believe in what skeptics call the impossible. Although it’ll take some practice, you’ll love the results!
JUSTICE (September 23 – October 22) Your engines are revving now more than ever—you’re needing more and different stimulus. Honor that call for independence by making plans to involve yourself in new adventures with new people. You’re highly creative and naturally curious now. This enables you to tap into the rich legacy of all of the great explorers and inventors. As you do so, you’ll notice that you’re making life-changing differences that will enhance your life and the lives of those around you.
THE MAGICIAN (October 23 – November 21) The essential you and the ways of the Universe are mysterious, indeed. In ways that you can’t fathom, you’re connected to a higher information source than most of us. Your pronounced visionary qualities are at work and some profound truths are being revealed to you. You’re being prepared to receive previously unknown data—pay attention to what comes up for you and consider it with an expansive viewpoint.
THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE (November 22 – December 21) You’re an old soul and wise beyond your years. Although things may seem to be a bit difficult lately, these hard times are actually the building blocks to a more solid and profitable future. Observe, study, and sort through the experiences and encounters that elicit the greatest emotion from you. By so doing, you’ll assist the Universal as it places you in alignment with the good fortune that’s coming your way.
THE WORLD (December 22 – January 19) To paraphrase William Shakespeare—“We are such stuff as dreams are made on.” Imagine that Shakespeare is now your guardian angel and is encouraging you to channel your creative energy by writing a short play about something you want to make happen and then acting it out. As flight of fancy as this may seem, it actually works—the Universe begins to acknowledge you and the validity of your “play” by setting into motion the events that will bring it to fulfillment.
THE STAR (January 20 – February 19) You’re brilliant! All of your power and magic have risen to the surface (your consciousness) and are waiting for you to guide them in a positive direction. Choose wisely and choose well—the results of your decisions will enjoy a long life. Although you seek counsel, carefully weigh the advice you receive from a trusted source—no matter how good it seems to be. Discernment will help keep you on your path as you determine what’s beneficial to you and your cause.
THE MOON (February 20 – March 20) “Be serious; grow up; stop being silly!” How many times did someone ever say that to you? How often did you say that to yourself? Seriousness is a great quality and should be developed and encouraged. And so is frivolity—please give yourself permission to allow that natural part of yourself to develop and grow. You’ll be happier and the things you think you have to effort for will begin to fall into place.
