Wow! What a year so far! So much change has occurred. At this time of harvest, ask yourself, “What gifts and skills have I discovered and developed during this very transformational year?”

This year’s powerful combination of events and forces have given us the opportunity to use our natural gifts of courage, determination, and adaptability in order to know that we can manifest whatever we set our hearts and minds to.

Your message as you move through this period of assessment comes in the form of a quote or affirmation. Write or print it out, put it on your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, and/or the dashboard of your car.  Be conscious of and contemplate its message and meaning to you at this very pivotal time of the year.

FOR ALL OF US:

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.  Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure.”  Helen Keller

and

“I love you, my sister and brother, whoever you are– whether you worship in your church, kneel in your temple or pray in your mosque.  You and I are all children of one faith, for the diverse paths of religion are fingers of the loving hand of one Supreme Being, a hand extended to all, offering completeness of spirit to all, eager to receive all.”  Khalil Gibran

THE EMPEROR (March 21 – April 20) “Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make, makes you. Choose wisely.” Roy T. Bennett

THE EMPRESS (April 21 – May 20) “In every crisis there is a message. Crises are nature’s way of forcing change– breaking down old structures, shaking loose negative habits so that something new and better can take their place.”  Susan L. Taylor

THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20) “Remember always that you have not only the right to be an individual; you have an obligation to be one.  You cannot make any useful contribution in life unless you do this.”  Eleanor Roosevelt

THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20) “God has given you a spirit with wings with which to soar into the spacious firmament of Love and Freedom. Recognize that life is what you get when you’re born– living is what you do with it.” Anonymous

THE SUN (July 21 – August 22) “The expectations of life depend upon diligence; the mechanic that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools.” Confucius; and “Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart.  Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens.”  Carl Jung

THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22) “In any moment, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” Theodore Roosevelt

JUSTICE (September 23 – October 22) Knowledge and understanding are life’s faithful companions who will never prove untrue to you. For knowledge is your crown, and understanding your staff; and when they are with you, you can possess no greater treasures.” Khalil Gibran

THE MAGICIAN (October 23 – November 21) All things in this creation exist within you, and all things in you exist within creation; there is no border between you and the closest things, and there is no distance between you and the farthest things, and all things from the lowest to the loftiest, are within you as equal things– in one aspect of you are found all the aspects of existence.” Anonymous

WHEEL OF FORTUNE (November 22 – December 21) “Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you represents determinism; the way you play it is free will.”  Jawaharlal Nehru

THE WORLD (December 22 – January 19) “There’s great satisfaction and power in living a courageously creative life.  When you do, the world conspires to be creative with you and magic happens.  Each of us is capable of doing potentially mysterious, empowering things, of displaying a creative energy so vital and vibrant, that everyone who sees us recognizes and connects with that same creative energy force within themselves.” Anonymous

THE STAR (January 20 – February 19) “Every human has four endowments– self-awareness, conscience, independent will, and creative imagination.  These give us the ultimate human freedom– the power to choose, to respond, to change.” Steven Covey

THE MOON (February 20 – March 20) “To dream anything you want to dream– that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything you want to do– that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself to test your limits– that is the courage to succeed.”  Bernard Edmonds
