The world is what you make it. Especially now that it’s Spring and the potential for opportunities and adventure are budding like new leaves on trees. Goethe’s quote is so perfect for the next few weeks. Heed it and revel in the joy of being a part of creation.

THE EMPEROR (March 21 – April 20)  At this time, the doors that open onto the past are beginning to close. Just remember that when one door closes, another one opens.  Instead of futilely trying to keep them open, surrender to these necessary changes and seek out the bright new doors of the future.  They’ll be easy to spot– they’ll be wide open and beckoning you to walk through them.

THE EMPRESS (April 21 – May 20)  If you combine your innate ability to get things done with your natural charm, you will win the praise and support you so richly deserve.  Many people will gladly help you as you as you work your ‘magic.’ Do remember to thank all those who helped you.

THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20)  What you ask for now, you will very likely receive.  Do make sure you are specific in your requests and appreciative in expressing your gratitude. Remember to include yourself, too. Many people will want to be a part of what you’re creating, so please make sure you look carefully at who and what are being offered.

THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20)  For the next few weeks, your world view may appear to confirm this line— “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times…”  Although, what you’re dealing with may appear real, it really is an illusion. Remember to stay grounded and avoid letting emotion get the best of you.

THE SUN (July 21 – August 22) Although it’s Spring, this is not a time of overt action for you. Play your cards close to your vest and bide your time. The events of the next few weeks will give you all of the information you need to correctly connect the dots and get the answers you’ll need in order to make your move. Use this time to sort through the events of the recent past. By doing so, you’ll also be making room for the new opportunities coming your way.

 THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22)  You have an invaluable source of life experience in the form of those who’ve gone before you. Do pay attention and seek the advice of those “old pros.”  They have wisdom based on life experience, common sense and formal learning.  Tap into this valuable resource and reap the benefits.   

JUSTICE (September 23 – October 22) This is a pivotal time in your life. The key to your success is being able to control your emotions. If you do, you’ll be able to respond to events and grow– go forward in your development, or react to those events and stagnate– slide backwards. Handle your feelings well; that’s the key to your success.

THE MAGICIAN (October 23 – November 21) You’re golden! The hard work you’re doing is set to pay off soon. Your winning trifecta of talent, hard work and luck will bring unexpected rewards your way. Make sure you bring a big basket to hold all of your goodies! An influential person will take an interest in you and speed your progress.

THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE (November 22 – December 21) It’s time to change your perspective. Everything isn’t working out the way you expected for a reason. Your ideas are fine; you do need to take a different approach though. What you see from this new vantage point will give you all that you need to arrive at success. 

 THE WORLD (December 22 – January 19) Three words– patience, patience, patience.  You don’t have to use that renowned ability to make something happen– it’s already happening and the momentum you need is building all on its own.  Use this time to remind yourself to trust that all you’re working toward really is coming your way.   

 THE STAR (January 20 – February 19)  In keeping with last month’s advice, it’s best if you step up to the plate and swing the bat with all your might. The “great good fortune” of last month is still with you and the time for waiting is over. Your support team and the circumstances you need are waiting in the wings and will soon reveal themselves to you.

THE MOON (February 20 – March 20)  “The sky is falling, the sky is falling!” “It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” If either of these literary lines have validity in your life at present, please take a good look at who is steering the course of your life. It’s important that you keep in mind this line, “Consider the source,” and remember to respond in a manner that benefits you.

First, the good news—Mercury, god of communication—has gone direct again. You can now unfasten your seatbelts and move more confidently through your lives. Although you’ll still have to deal with the occasional screw-up, you can now purchase houses, cars and other big ticket items, as well as sign important documents with some degree of certainty that all will go smoothly.

And now, the really great news—in a few short weeks, it will officially be Spring! Hopefully, that will mean that all of this rude behavior by the weather will cease and desist. A lovely, leaf-budding, flower blooming landscape with mild, warm, caressing breezes would work for me and I suspect, you too.

Let’s show the weather how it’s done by breaking out all of those ideas, plans and projects you’ve been promising yourself you’d begin once the conditions were right. Once the sun goes into Aries, it’ll join with the planet Uranus—the god of the unexpected and the insightful—and all manner of wondrous events will occur. The conditions will be right for planting profitable gardens of brilliant adventures.

THE EMPEROR (March 21 – April 20)  Although, at times it seems as though you’re engaged in an uphill struggle, your efforts are beginning to bear fruit. Continue letting your actions speak for you and be ready to enjoy well-deserved rewards.  Someone from your past returns, offering help. THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20)  Your ruler, Mercury, has finally gone direct so you can more freely move forward, too. Do leap into your next phase, but be sure you look before you leap.  Use your intuition and your intellect—they’re the partners who will help you make the decisions you’re faced with.  Remember to play your cards close to your vest this month.

THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20)  The pressure you feel to release your hold on the past and let go of your allegiance to the belief systems of others is real and important– do pay heed to it because you’re in the process of discovering the power of your own individual uniqueness. THE SUN (July 21 – August 22) Do you need to be shaken from your complacent, stagnant or stuck perspective in order to accurately perceive what’s going on in the world around you? Now is the time to take a good look at your environment and note its effect on you. THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22)  Your ruling planet, Mercury, has finally gone direct after a somewhat harrowing three weeks of retrograde action. You can finally move forward, too, and cease putting your life on hold. Life is waiting for you to notice how much more it has to offer if you do.  You’re entering a very prolific time– use it to your advantage and you’ll love the results.

JUSTICE (September 23 – October 22) When legendary performer, Sammy Davis, Jr., sang “I’ve Gotta Be Me,” he was singing your new theme song. You’ve got powerful permission from the Universe to express yourself, so by all means, explore your dreams and make them come true. 

THE MAGICIAN (October 23 – November 21) As the Winter season wanes, it’s a great time for soul-searching and being honest with yourself.  This is the most empowering course of action for you during the weeks leading up to Spring.  The realizations you come to will help you create the kind of movement you want in your life and will bring you the results you’ve been working so hard for.

THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE (November 22 – December 21) As this is the Chinese Year of the Horse, keep your heart and attention focused on your goal.  The positive forces of the Universe are partnering with you now, so meet them ‘eye-to-eye’, pay attention to your intuition and be receptive of all of the luck and blessings coming your way.

THE WORLD (December 22 – January 19) There is a lot of Universal attention focused on you now. Do stay calm and relaxed as you follow your intuition and you’ll discover that your efforts are paying off handsomely. By Summer, you’ll be much clearer about the direction you are taking as you continue to build secure foundations and strong, supportive structures under and around those creative castles in the air you’ve been building.

THE STAR (January 20 – February 19)  )  For the next few weeks, the I Ching prophecy, “great good fortune,” is referring to you. Whatever your plans and dreams are, please use this prolific time to take ownership of who you are and the way you want your life to be. And then– be open to receiving as you reap the rewards.

THE MOON (February 20 – March 20)  Upon removing those rose colored glasses, you’re noticing that when one door closes, another one opens. The doors that lead to your outmoded past are beginning to close.  Instead of getting emotional about it and trying and keep them open, surrender to these necessary changes and you’ll notice the bright new doors of the future opening wide and beckoning you to walk through.

Happy Chinese New Year! It’s the Year of the Horse, a sign that promises (and delivers) adventure, excitement, luck and opportunities for growth and travel. Whatever your inspiration, hope, wish or desire—now is the time to take the steps that will help the Universe co-create what you want. Red is the color of passion and action, so wear lots of that color. And, by all means, get on your horse and go for it!

This month, in honor of the wisdom and wildness of the Year of the Horse, I’m introducing you to the guides whose wisdom, grit and grace will guide you during the next 12 months. Research them on-line, read their works and print out the quotes or information that ‘speak’ to you. Call on their reverence (or irreverence) to help you on your journey.      

Oh, it’s also Mercury Retrograde from February 6^th to February 28^th and the usual cautions do apply– do try to avoid getting overly emotional or all worked up over little and big things. As with all Mercury Retrogrades, plans and communications screw-ups can take you on a wild and confusing ride. Since Mercury rules communication, transportation and contracts, when it’s retrograde, all manner of mistakes and misunderstandings can occur. If you can, hold off on buying (or leasing) any big ticket items. It’s also a good idea to triple check any and all plans you make. This is an excellent time for research, as those things that are usually hidden from view, show themselves more easily during a Mercury Retrograde period.  Wait until Mercury goes direct before making any big decisions.

THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20)  Your guide is the modern founder of Siddha Yoga, Bade Baba Nityananda. “Merely repeating holy names Like Rama, Krishna, and Govinda, even for a thousand years cannot bring liberation.” Knowledge without the correct action to verify it is incomplete and useless. Get going!

THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20)  Your guide is author, Dr. Seuss. “Adults are just obsolete children and the hell with them.” It’s time to stop ‘mothering’ the world and start listening to that brilliant child who lives within you.

THE SUN (July 21 – August 22) Your guide is the Italian saint, Padre Pio. “Prayer is the oxygen of the soul.” Pray, meditate, muse, daydream—they are all connections to the Divine who lives in your heart.

THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22)  Your guide is Indian guru, Ammaji. “Many people meditate in order that a third eye may open. For that they feel they should close their two physical eyes. They thereby become blind to the world. But the fact is that the third eye will never open. We can never close our eyes to the world in the name of spirituality. Self-realization is the ability to see ourselves in all beings. This is the third eye through which you see, even while your two eyes are open. We should be able to love and serve others, seeing ourselves in them. This is the fulfillment of spiritual practice.”

We’re nearly at the finish line of this year. ‘Tis the season to review and sum up the experiences of 2013. As we do so, ‘tis also the season to get clear on our goals for next year. One of the themes of 2014 is discovering your own personal truth and the value of that truth as it guides you on a mandatory journey of ‘Knowing Thyself.’ Take the next few weeks to soulfully consider what it’ll take to make your life a sweeter, more satisfying experience.

JUSTICE (September 23 – October 22)  This is a great time to choose new energy power-brokers—vote indecision and self-doubt out of office.  Ignore the vacuous opinions of those who aren’t on your path and pay attention to your own strong inner guidance.  Heed it, and your professional, personal and social fortunes will be enhanced.

THE MAGICIAN (October 23 – November 21)  The planet Saturn is in your sign now. It insists that you go within and shine the light of consciousness on your previously hidden (from yourself) history. There is undiscovered treasure waiting for you there. You’ll be immensely helped in your quest if you consult with a good counselor or therapist during this awakening phase of your life.

THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE (November 22 – December 21) The choices you make now will lay the ground work for the events of the next few months.  How do you want to show up in your life? Why and how you choose are as important as what you choose. Examine your belief systems and relinquish your connection to old, outdated beliefs that no longer reflect your current position in life.

THE WORLD (December 22 – January 19)  Your message is similar to THE EMPEROR. He is your somewhat thorny ‘side-kick’ on this leg of your journey. Remember— If you can accept that neither of you is right or wrong, you’ll be able to combine your forces with unlikely allies and mine this experience for all of the positive ‘gold’ it can yield to you. Your greatest tool is tolerance.

THE STAR (January 20 – February 19)  Contrary to your usual way of operating, methodical patience and perseverance are your strongest allies at this time. You’re going through an important processing phase and this phase has its own time schedule for completion. What you might normally call delays are actually aids to your process, so just settle in and go with the flow. You’ll love the outcome.

THE MOON (February 20 – March 20)  As your ruling planet, Neptune, swirls its hazy miasma around you like the dance of the seven veils, please remember that faith and hope are you guiding lights now. As mystifying as it all seems, what is happening now is happening for good reasons. They will be revealed in due time, but for now—hang in there and ‘keep the faith.’

Mercury, the planet of communication, will go retrograde on October 21^st. Introspection and self-examination are requirements of this Mercury retrograde in the sign of Scorpio. Do use this opportunity to consciously clear up and re-direct your thoughts and energies to what your soul and heart really want you to be and do. As with all Mercury Retrogrades, plans and communications will take you on an Alice in Wonderland journey. This being a very passionate, emotional one, please remember to remain centered and grounded, no matter what. Since Mercury rules communication, transportation and contracts, when it’s retrograde, all manner of mistakes and misunderstandings can occur. If you can, hold off on buying (or leasing) any big ticket items. It’s also a good idea to triple check any and all plans you make. This is an excellent time for research, as those things that are usually hidden from view, show themselves more easily during a Mercury Retrograde period.  Wait until Mercury goes direct before making any big decisions.

THE EMPEROR (March 21 – April 20)  Do slow your pace—you’ll make more progress if you’ll just focus on the task at hand.  You’re doing all you can do to make a success of yourself and your projects, so keep your eyes on the prize, and trust God to guide your pace and your footsteps.  By your birthday, you’ll be the recipient of a blessing from an unexpected source. 

THE EMPRESS (April 21 – May 20)  This is a very prolific time for you. The steps you take on this part of your journey lead to a very productive phase in your life.  You’re clearing away the rubble of the past and opening a wide path that leads you straight to the fulfillment of your hopes, wishes and dreams.  During this journey, it’s important to pay attention to the wisdom of the elders of your ‘tribe’ because their insights are blessed with Divine Assistance.  You will receive important information—use it wisely.

THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20)  The adage, “Know Thyself,” has timeless value. From this simply worded fountain of wisdom, all other forms of wealth and possibility spring. As you more deeply know and appreciate who you are and what makes you tick, you’ll also allow yourself to embrace what works and to effortlessly release what doesn’t. 

THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20)  Notice what’s going on around you. Are others comfortable with the trauma-drama swirling around them? Now ask yourself, “Am I in some way a reflection of them as they dance to potentially self-destructive tunes?” If your answer is yes, be the hero of your own life, put your Chariot in motion and take a different route—you’ll be a winner if you do!

THE SUN (July 21 – August 22)  If you feel like sliding into complacent stagnation—DON’T! Despite how things may appear, this is the time to take decisive action that will shift the position you hold in life. Do re-assess yourself and your goals on every level. Then, do what is required to manifest your new vision. Find a Life Coach who will help guide you through this life altering time.

THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22)  Mercury is your ruling planet and with it going retrograde, this is a good time to sort through your belief system in order to discover what is yours and what was given to you by others because it was what they had come to believe about life. By so doing, you’ll clearly see and be able to create based on your own personal truth.

JUSTICE (September 23 – October 22)  The opportunities to advance yourself in your world have never been stronger.  Observe what’s going on around you and evaluate the information by asking yourself, “What is my ‘gut’ feeling about this person, project or situation?”  Let your intuition answer and listen to it!  Trust and go with your feelings—you’ll be happy with the results!

THE MOON (February 20 – March 20)  Behind each current challenge is the opportunity to consciously experience that you are not powerless and undeserving of living from your birthright of rich spiritual, emotional, mental and physical health and wealth. It’s that time of year again. Summer is pretty much over and the harvest time of year is beginning. What have you learned from your journey, so far? September is an excellent time for mulling these questions over and for coming to a greater understanding of yourself and your world. THE EMPEROR (March 21 – April 20  “There comes a time when the risk to remain tight in a bud is more painful than the risk it takes to blossom.” The nature of your quandary is expressed in many ways—one of them—‘which choice do I make?’  The answer, as always, lies within you and no one can tell you which way to go.  Hint—choose with your heart not your head.

THE EMPRESS (April 21 – May 20)  It’s been a long, intense journey, but you can pause now and see how far you’ve come.  As you assess your life from this new perspective, you’ll begin to realize that life doesn’t have to be a contest of wills, i.e., ‘yours’ vs. ‘theirs.’  It’s time to reflect and reevaluate as you stake your claim on a new future.

THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20)  The forces of the Universe are strongly urging to take ‘the next big step.’ Do set aside your ‘reasons’ for holding back and take the courageous actions needed to bring you through this current phase of your process to a place of profound self-confidence and  achievement.

It’s August already! The vacation season is almost over; where has the Summer gone!? This month is ruled by The Sun card, which encourages you to relax, play and listen to your heart. Instead of being the workaholic automaton that you tend to imitate the other three seasons of the year, let The Sun guide you back to your pre-teen years when all that mattered was getting outside and enjoying those lovely, lazy, hazy days of Summer and the freedom of school vacation.
