It’s officially fall and this year October is the month we’ve waited many lifetimes for. Planet wise and energetically, this month is the time of Transformative Love– for yourself, for others, and for the world. Love (The Empress card) and transformation (the Judgement card) are the ruling energies of this month and they’ve never been stronger.

Never before have so many souls been so energetically keen on honestly, courageously facing and accepting their individual and collective greatness. By doing so, you will fulfill a promise you made to yourself lifetimes ago.

In order to do this, we must all recognize the ego for what it is– a powerful servant and a terrible master. Most of our lives we’ve been led around by our egos and this is wrong. The ego is meant to serve us; instead, to our detriment, we’ve been serving it. Simply put, the ego is like a three year old child, which means for the most part, we’ve been letting a bad tempered three year old make our decisions and run our lives. The big question is– are you ready and willing to give up this negative dynamic and take your rightful place in fulfilling your soul’s destiny?

If your answer is ‘yes’, prepare to be delighted and amazed as you take charge of your life.

As the year winds down, take a look at how you’ve navigated it. What have you discovered about yourself that you want to nurture and develop further? What have you discovered about yourself that you want to rid yourself of? Let your heart, soul, and spirit do the choosing. And then, put your ego aside and go for it!

THE EMPEROR (March 21 – April 20) Creating balance by choosing to take mature, wise action is your core objective now. The seeds you plant at this time by your thoughts and actions (positive or negative) will lead to learning and developing either satisfying results or distressing consequences.  Remember to set your ego aside and stay centered as you make your choices. By doing so, you’ll be able to take advantage of the advance notices you receive from your intuition.

THE EMPRESS (April 21 – May 20) You are filled with infinite potential and enormous impatience at this time. The “seeds” of your success have been planted and now the second most important part of creation has begun– the waiting-gestation period. How to go through this in between phase with ease? Wait productively by joyful distraction– read an exciting novel, needlepoint, or take an art class. These external, creative actions will give you the gifts of lively stimulus and sense of purpose as you productively pass the time.

THE LOVERS (May 21 – June 20) Like the beautiful flowers in a well-tended garden, you’re awakening to life in a new way. Let your spirit and soul guide you as you lovingly set your restricting ego aside and experience YOU in an exciting new way. Be gentle with yourself and those around you, but be firm in your intentions. And remember, listen to your inner voice and focus your energy on what your heart tells you to pay attention to.

THE CHARIOT (June 21 – July 20) This is an empowering time for you. You’re getting a refresher course in the productive use of the ego as it learns to follow the orders of your heart. This will require personal courage. Harness your ego and your will to your “chariot” of faith and determination and you’ll experience the priceless joy of valuing yourself without judgment or comparison to others expectations.

THE SUN (July 21 – August 22) You love being acknowledged and adored. This is a good thing. It’s also your birthright. You of all of the signs understand the concept of the ego serving you and not the other way around. Your mission this month is to demonstrate the positive attributes of the Sun in a subtle, steady energy of self-appreciation and generosity of spirit as you acknowledge those around you for the contributions they bring to your community

THE HERMIT (August 23 – September 22)  Self-esteem is your lesson and your reward at this time. You are unique and it’s very important that you honor that great gift. You are not “too much.”   Judging and comparing yourself to others is the ego attempting to diminish you and your creative spirit. Focus on and learn the value of yourself as a gift by repeating your affirmation for this month, Friedrich Nietzsche’s “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”

JUSTICE (September 23 – October 22) Are you properly using your ego or is it improperly using you? You’ve grown more perceptive and you’re processing information at a much faster rate than in the past and your old methods won’t work anymore. Focus less on dissecting and “understanding” each occurrence and more on in-the-moment interacting with the experiences spirit guides you to. Allow this new method to direct your flow of energy into newer and more rewarding forms of your soul’s expression.

THE MAGICIAN (October 23 – November 21) You, THE EMPRESS, and JUDGEMENT are the co-rulers of this month. Transformational Love is your goal. Unexpected, unpredictable, deep changes will occur in order to assist you in achieving your soul’s goal. Take the time to align yourself with the stillness within and learn to flow with the changes as your soul directs you. Regardless of how hard your ego fights this, your soul will win if you put it first.

THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE (November 22 – December 21) Exhuberance– ain’t it grand!? You’re under a lucky star and you’ve got the proverbial world on a string. You, like THE SUN, understand the concept of the ego serving you and not the other way around.
